South Tyrol / Alto Adige and its beer

The first news of local beer goes back more than a thousand years. The beer that was produced than, found its way mainly into inns and postal rest stops, and became famous thanks to the fact that it was a genuine good natural brew! It was produced in that way until 1800, a century characterized by the industrial revolution and the rise of the private enterprise. This was also the time where great achievements were made and the quality of the beer increased exponentially.

From the horse carriage of a time to the modern technology, there always has been a common denominator in the history of South Tyrol and its beer: "Quality ingredients and respect for nature, because beer is nature".
